For each of all these services, three different security levels are available :
Light authentication
Showing the PopimsCode card is sufficient to authenticate. A standard password may also be required. This mode is perfect for reading mails or bank accounts.
Medium strength authentication
A one-time passwords is sent to the user, and is invalidated as soon as it has been used. This mode which is very commonly used nowadays has the inconvenient that an attacker who has stolen or momentarily "borrowed" the victim's computer or phone can enter the OTC which has just been sent and perform fraudulous operations. We do not recommend it.
Strong authentication
The user must show the PopimsCode card, and this provoques the sending by mail or MMS of the one-time password, which must then be typed to authenticate. This solution which is very user-friendly brings a very high level of security. It is adapted to payment and more generally to online banking, to agreements signing and for other transactions requiring the highest security.
Products and document authentication
PopimsTags The efficient traceability which also means the end of counterfeiting and document fraud.
These services will be available in 2012 on this web site, but also on those of partners (banks, social sites, corporations, public services, etc.).
