Popims LensPrinter is a recognized innovator in printing technologies. Specialized in the field of dynamic printing it’s teams innovated strongly to create a new way of printing baptized: selective lenticular printing.

In order to develop this new technology, Popims LensPrinter makes available to printers a global license including powerful software and strong patents.

Aimed primarily at global market for packaging printers, but also billboard printers and general press, Popims LensPrinter technologies makes dynamic printing possible onto standard substrates.

• Animation printing allows, for example, to print hair that changes color to promote a coloration product, a lady that gets thinner for a diet product, a laughing cow could wink, or even twinkling messages as « Low fat », « On Sale »…
• 3D relief gives the illusion of a product floating in space, in front of a background that seems far away. The goal is also to reproduce 3D scenes that could come from movies and be printed on postcards.

The main difference with previous art is that these effects are created only using printing techniques on classic inexpensive substrates.

The technology includes strong patents about spherical lenses and lenses printing techniques, software and special lenticular RIP and, of course, special varnishes developed in conjunction with Sun Chemical.

• Popims SphericalLenses: patent WO 9820392 from the 7th of November 1996 – delivered in USA, France, Germany, UK and Italy allowing interlacing images for spherical lenses.
• Promotion: patents 6,833,960 ; 6,856,462  and 7,609,451 delivered in USA, allowing the creation of lenses using printing techniques.
• Popims LensPrinter: pending patents PCT/FR/2009/050883 and PCT/FR11/000315 allowing printing contiguous lenses using multiple layers of varnishes. This makes possible animation and 3D prints.

• Popims Animator: creation and interlacing of animations and 3D for lenticular printing both spherical and cylindrical.
• Popims Moiré: creation and interlacing of moiré effects for lens printing technology.
